Being part of The Keynote Group (TKG) as the Public Relations Intern was a great experience and opportunity for me not only at a professional level but also in a personal one. It was nerve-wracking to start my first internship, but since day one at TKG I felt part of the team. I felt that I was more than the usual intern who files papers and brings coffee; I was able to participate in brainstorming sessions with new clients and was assigned to work in projects for current clients.
I came to the internship without really knowing what a speaker bureau company does, but during my time at TKG I learned about the field and developed an interest and appreciation for it. I was constantly challenged to do things out of my comfort zone, which help me develop skills that will help me in my future job. I appreciate working in a company of this size, where you get to know and work with everyone and be part of the organizational culture.

As a digital marketing intern for The Keynote Group, I got to build off my existing skill set while being mentored from everyone on the marketing team. I expressed an interest in graphic
design, and was able to create multiple marketing emails and posters using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. In addition to graphic design, I also wrote press releases and copy
for websites for several of our clients and assisted the sales/ marketing team with research.

Working at The Keynote Group has been nothing short of amazing. This has been the best work environment I have ever dealt with. The best part of any internship is learning about a new aspect of business or honing your skills in your area of expertise. The best part of my Marketing and Sales Internship at TKG has been the professional and personal development. I came in to TKG wanting to try out a new side of business that I didn't really have a ton of experience with. While the whole team is lovely to work with, always willing to help and collaborate, it is my new relationship with Yolanda and Bea that I will carry with me throughout my career.
